Letter from District Grand Secretary

Dear Brother Secretary & Scribe,

As many of you will already know, I have the great privilege of being appointed District Grand Secretary at the recent District Grand Assembly, and I’m truly excited to work together with all of you.

The entire District Secretariat team is here to support both our Lodges and the District, ensuring everything runs smoothly, and our goal is to make the Lodge administrative experience as seamless and efficient as possible.

To make sure things run smoothly, each team member has specific areas of responsibility, as outlined below (though these are by no means exhaustive):

District Grand Registrar – W.Bro. Adrian Brooks Installation Returns & Queries – Please ensure these are submitted within 7 days of the Installation Meeting. This is essential to avoid any delays or potential suspension of the warrant.

Deputy District Grand Secretary – W.Bro. Jorge Prieto Cueto Lodge Dispensations – Every Lodge occasionally needs a dispensation, and many can be issued through the District. We’re here to help, so please submit any requests as soon as possible, making sure to complete the relevant form.

Assistant District Grand Secretary – W.Bro. Frederico Stewart New/Joining Members Onboarding – To help us process everything quickly, please ensure all forms are fully completed and legible. This will prevent any delays or issues with Grand Lodge Certificates.

Communications Officer – Bro. Alejandro Lopez Our newsletters and social media are fantastic platforms to highlight what’s happening across the District. Alex does an amazing job with these, but he can only do so with the information you share. Please keep him updated on any events, celebrations, or news from your upcoming meetings.

This list is just a starting point, but it should give you an idea of who to reach out to. If you’re ever unsure, don’t hesitate to get in touch with any of us via the shared email address – secretariat@markmastermason.es And just a reminder that Lodge Summons should be sent to this address at least 14 days before your meeting.

As part of the District website rebuild, we’ve introduced a Virtual Secretariat section, which includes helpful templates, documents, and translations. This is designed to guide you through all necessary processes and provide support where needed. We’ve worked hard to make these resources as clear and user-friendly as possible, but if you need anything else or have any questions, we’re only an email away at secretariat@markmastermason.es
